Everything about the place welcomed me.Easy to find and parking on site was well marked. Everyone was helpful and very friendly.Settling in was made simple and with no fuss I was in my room and settling in very quickly.The room was tidy, clean and met with my expectations completely.The furniture was comfortable and I had two good nights sleep.Breakfast catered for all needs and there was plenty of it.The cooked breakfast was hot on the plate and tasty, served with a smile and a chat.I have no issues with Lyme Bay House and would happily stay there again

A pleasant little B&B in Dawlish, perfect for exploring the area. Our room had been recently renovated and it was lovely, the only thing that let it down was the attention to cleaning, the mirror in the room had been cleaned with a dirty cloth, you couldn’t see through it, finger prints all over the TV screen, dust all along the skirting boards and sadly, there were stains on the quilt cover and top sheet. The breakfast was piping hot and very nice, large portions but again, attention to cleaning, place mats were dirty and our cutlery had dried egg on it, would not stop me returning though.

Stayed for three nights and never disappointed by the little things they do here - remembering that I preferred fresh milk in my tea and on arrival in the fridge a jug of fresh milk and breakfast as well they remembered my preferences and even offering to put a lighter quilt on the bed than the one fitted - will return again and again

My stay was comfortable . Room 7 , although compact , had a double bed with good mattress and the shower room was spacious and very clean. The communal areas are somewhat old-fashioned but this did not detract from the comfort . I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on the food . Would stay here again .

A warm welcome from Nikki and Ian, we arrived early and was able to check in. Convenient car park and only a few minutes walk from Dawlish town centre.We had room 11, it was lovely with part sea view, a huge bed and the mattress was so comfortably.For breakfast we had the full English whichwas lovely with really crispy bacon, just how I like it.If we are in Dawlish again, we will definitely be staying at Lyme Bay, thanks Nikki and Ian you have a gem of a hotel.

Easily the nicest b&b we have ever stayed in.only two minutes walk from the train station - cpl of mins trip to dawlish warren and a Cpl of minutes train ride to teighnmouth.. every thing about the b&b was perfect for us. We have just spent two nights at this guesthouse. The location is perfect, the clean rooms, comfy bed and added extras such as tioletries, towels were very appreciated.We had a sea view which was great watching the sunrise.We did not get to taste the award wining breakfast as out of season, however the hosts are great and give you lots of information.I would recommend and will return.

We had everything we could need for a two night stay in Dawlish.Our room was clean and comfortable with a fridge which was very welcome for our cold drinks in the hot weather!Our hosts Ian and Nikki were very friendly and helpful and we were also pleased to find we had a cool air fan.Breakfast was spot on, delicious, cooked with a also choice of fruit, yogurt and cereal.We would recommend a stay here.

We booked the 4 poster room for 2 nights, then changed rooms for an extra3rd night. Neither host was there, but the housekeeper was, who had to call Ian on the phone. Our room wasn't ready for us.....very dirty. We had to wait downstairs whilst Ian cleaned it!!!! Not a great start, but thereafter couldn't fault it. Nikki is a great host, breakfast was delicious, with good choices.

I have just returned from a two night business trip stay with Ian and Nikki and I have to say my experience was fantastic.From the moment I arrived I felt welcome and felt both Ian and Nikki went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I loved the personal touches, such as greeting me with my name whenever I saw them and taking the time to chat.Even sharing a drink with me one evening on my return from a lovely walk - putting the world to rights!I stayed in room 7. My room was clean and very comfortable and I loved the fact that it included a fridge.A bottle of fresh drinking water was provided in my room daily and was presented with delicious biscuits, which I made full use of by taking these to work with me!The bathroom was stocked with fresh fluffy towels and small bottles of shower gel, shampoo etc. The shower was lush!Needing to have breakfast slightly earlier than other guests, Nikki made sure I started my day with a wonderful breakfast.I really enjoyed the fresh fruit salad and yoghurts followed by an amazing cooked breakfast.This was my first stay at Lyme Bay House, my work takes me to Dawlish several times a year and I would normally stay in a larger hotel.However, after experiencing the friendly atmosphere and the small attention to detail here, I will definitely be returning to Lyme Bay House in the future.Thank you Ian and Nikki - I hope to see you soon :o)

I am overjoyed to have found this hotel. I visit Dawlish at least 3 times a year but this is the first time I have stayed at Lyme Bay House. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, room was very comfortable. As a single female I felt safe and secure at all times.The cooked breakfast is cooked to order so is fresh and hot, I loved this! very close to town centre so didn’t use my car until it was time to leave.Highly recommend and will stay again

We loved our stay at Lyme Bay House. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable - perfect nights sleep. The location is ideal - a short walk to the town centre and sea front.

My second visit and certainly not my last. Perfectly situated within a 5 minute walk into Dawlish.The hosts are on hand to make your stay a memorable one,and the attention to detail was spot on.If you are thinking of coming to Dawlish,then try Lyme Bay House as your stay.

I had a great time at Lyme Bay House, not least because of the excellent proprietors. Ian went out of his way to allow me to check in two hours earlier than planned, and Nikki was amazing with her zany sense of humour.The guest house is very close to the coastal path with its magnificent red sandstone cliffs, the Parson and the Clerk, and the railway threading its way through several tunnels.My room, decorated with a pleasing palette, featured a handsome Venetian blind, attractive curtains and a luxurious bed. The en suite bathroom was imaginatively appointed with marbled walls and a very spacious shower.I had a fun time with Ian, Nikki and other guests/friends in the bar each evening. They clearly work very hard to ensure that everything is satisfactory, and are the ideal people to be running a guest house.

I stayed 3 nights at Lyme Bay House.Lovely welcome. The room had all the facilities you would expect and more: Tea and Coffee, bottled water, hairdryer, fan if too hot, additional heater if needed, large TV and a massive king size bed with lots of pillows. I slept very well despite being near to the road.Bathroom was modern and immaculately clean - thank you for a good relaxing time

The hosts Nikki and Ian could not of been more friendly. The full English was the best i have ever had every day, along with cereals, juices and fruit with yogurts. The location is great with the town centre and restaurants just down the hill along with Dawlish station. You dont really need a car as as you can get to most places by train or bus. And for the walkers amongst us there is the coastal path to Dawlish Warren. My room with en suite shower,50" smart TV and King size bed was equipped with fan and full compliment of tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Regrettably we all have to go home sometime.

It was the perfect place for me to spend a weekend visiting relatives. Comfortable and with all the amenities I required. Also close to beaches, pubs and restaurants.

From the moment we arrived we were made to to feel so welcome by Nickie and Ian and showed to our room and asked if everything was okay with it which I thought was nice.The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and the beds very comfortable also had all the complimentary coffee, sugars and teas + bathroom shampoos and conditioners and clean towels with flannels.The breakfast well what can I say so much choice from cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juices to a full English breakfast with bread and butter or white or brown toast onwhich was all cooked perfectly also served on hot plates which was a nice touch I thought.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will book again. It's in an ideal location to the town, beaches and red sandstone cliffs with bus stops right outside the car park with the Dawlish coastal train station just down the road and close to the other Riviera sea side towns here.I will add that the public transport is brilliant down here with both the buses and trains running from early morning to late into the evening.I highly Recommend.

It was great to be able to park the car at the hotel and walk into the centre or get a bus from right outside the hotel to visit other places. Hosts were friendly and helpful and the huge breakfast choice was delightful and of high quality.Our room was small and although clean, well decorated with the latest technology we felt some attention to basics was missing. A toilet roll holder besides the toilet would have been easier to use than a roll on the shelf behind it. There was ample storage space for clothes but sadly a large armchair was placed in front of the storage so that we couldn't use most of the shelves. This chair had a broken leg so we felt we couldn't sit on it to dress and we couldn't use the bed as a seat to put on shoes as it was too high.A small suggestion Ian - remove the large armchair which makes the room smaller and storage inaccessible and replace it with a small dining chair situated in the corner next to the mirror - Problem Solved!The king sized bed itself was of high quality and extremely comfortable. The shower was large and will benefit from the planned update to make the spray more powerful.I can understand why so many of your guests return. Our thanks to both Ian and Vicky for ensuring we had a pleasant stay.

The b&b was ideally situated for Dawlish Town centre/beach/station, etc. Plus points; Friendly hosts, comfy bed, tasty breakfasts, modern bathroom, big TV.Minus points; cleanliness issues, road noise outside (if you are a light sleeper), shower not very powerful (also could do with a shelf/tray in cubicle)Apart from that we had an enjoyable stay.

Arrived as strangers and we were immediatly adopted by the owners. There was a degree of caution in these strange times which was nice. The room was great and the en-suite was really good. BUT.The main feature for me was breakfast. To nick a quote from Strictly. A MAY ZING, all produce was fresh and high quality. All sorts of stuff came out of the kitchen as a special request. I can't speak too highly about it.

My husband and I stayed at Lyme Bay for a long weekend to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary.The room (4 poster bed ) was beautiful and bathroom of the highest spec. Nicking and Ian were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Had driven past this hotel many times on previous visits to Dawlish. This time we stopped and didn’t regret it. Ian and Nikki were Lovely hosts. En-suite room was lovely with a sea view. Breakfast was excellent set us up for the day. Easy walk to Dawlish breach and railway station.One small negative is the parking plenty of space if all guests park properly sadly this was not always the case during our visit

Ian & Nicky could not have done more to provide a happy short break for us while visiting our family. The property is extremely well located and the breakfast provided a meal for the day!! Our room, although basic with a smaller than average bathroom, was very clean and comfortable. All in all, we would certainly stay here again in the future.

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay. From the start Nikki and Ian were very accommodating. After staying the previous 2 nights in Starcross we arrived in Dawlish mid morning and they were happy for us to use the carpark and check in early. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice from cereals to a full English breakfast. There is a lovely lounge area and we were able to have a couple of drinks in the bar with our hosts at the end of the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed Nikki and Ian's hospitality and would happily return again

My short stay was very friendly, helpful owners and the room neat and comfortable. I don't eat much breakfast but the food on offer was varied and the cooked breakfasts delicious. We had one lovely hot day and then torrential rain and wind, next day,but inside was cosy and relaxed. Many thanks for a very much appreciated break.

Made to feel welcome as soon as we got through the front door. We were in Room 6, which is on the second floor and at the side of the house. The room was very clean with plenty of storage space and a decent hairdryer!. The double bed and pillows were comfy and clean with white duvet and sheets. The bathroom was a good size.The breakfast room was very clean and well set out. We had the full English every day and all food is cooked to perfection with tasty bacon and sausages.We had a great stay at Lyme Bay House and used the train to explore Paignton and Torquay. We walked into Dawlish Warren several times. The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. They even greeted you by name which we thought was lovely. It felt like you were staying with good friends! This B&B is in a great location. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great 3 night stay in the 4 poster room which on a really good offer. The room was well fitted out with everything you could possibly need even a big bottle of Radox. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, individually cooked to order and plentiful.The host were attentive and friendly without being over the top.And lastly every morning a large seagull arrived outside the window quietly just peering in, very sweet.

We stayed two nights at Lyme Bay. The bedroom was fantastic and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The only reason it's not five stars is that our bathroom was a bit dated. The shower leaked and the cubicle was very small. That said however it was clean and well maintained . Would stay there again .

Lyme Bay House really is the perfect base for exploring the English Riviera.This was a short break of four nights which my wife and I took with my 87 year old Mum.From the moment we arrived, having parked in the ample on site car park, we were made very welcome by our hosts Ian and the ever bubbly Nikki.Our rooms were clean, comfortable and a decent size, with walk in showers in the ensuites and well stocked with toiletries, a hair drier and tea and coffee making facilities - including complementary bottled water and biscuits.Mum had no trouble accessing the various parts of the hotel and, at all times, felt safe, comfortable and well looked after.Breakfast each morning was amazing, with a great range of cereals and fruit, as well as a choice of hot options cooked to order. Delicious and plentiful, it really set us up for the day - as did Nikki, whose cheerful disposition is a real tonic.Location wise, things couldn't have been better. The coastal paths along the cliffs and along the seafront are practically on the doorstep - ideal for our pre-breakfast morning walks. For journeys further afield, there are bus stops right outside, with buses running on a regular basis to destinations up and down the coast. Dawlish train station is just a short walk away.After each day exploring Dawlish and beyond, it was great to get back to Lyme Bay House and enjoy a nightcap or two in the comfortable, well stocked bar, sharing stories and laughs with Ian and Nikki, who felt more like friends than hosts.A wonderful, relaxing break and we would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay here.The room had a superkingsize bed plus all the home comforts - big flat-screen TV, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottles of water, toiletries, hairdryer, plenty of storage and wifi. Plus there was a fridge with a couple of beers in it. Owners were so friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Also the location is perfect - so near to everything. Can recommend!

I was made to feel very welcome by Nikki from the minute I arrived. My room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, all locally sourced products cooked to order by Nikki and served with friendly chat. She has the perfect manner for a hostess, making you feel important and looking after your every need. The lounge area is ideal for a night cap and my friends who were dropping me off were made just as welcome to stay and enjoy a drink. The location is ideal, just five minutes from the town centre but very quiet and peaceful. This was a real find and I will definitely return.

Would definately stay there again.Nikki and Ian were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble we were made so welcome. Our room was really nice with a very large and comfortable bed, the only down side to our room was the shower was to small for my husband as he suffers with claustrophobia. Nikki makes the best poached eggs i have tasted but then the whole breakfast was fabulous, a very large section of fruits and serials over haul very enjoyable stay.

We are looking to settle in Devon and stayed with Nikiya and Ian for two nights. Not only were we very well looked after, but received invaluable tips on the best places to eat out and see, as well as great info on the area too. The room was nicely decorated and the bed, it was the biggest bed and very comfortable resulting in a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was also a very high standard. We booked at very short notice, and Ian and Nikki were super in sorting a room and breakfast for 3 nights. The room was clean, the bed/mattress of a high quality and the breakfast freshly cooked, with plenty of cereals, fruit and yoghurt for starters. Enough to last us through to evening meal as we walked miles around the Dawlish and South Devon Coast. But that's to be expected, what really sets this apart as a 5 star experience is the warm hospitality from the minute you arrive for breakfast to a night cap, or two, in the guests bar before bed time, in the company of hosts/owners Ian and Nikki. The stay in Dawlish was very relaxing, this was mainly due to the hotel. We made some exciting visits to Teignmouth, Plymouth and the RSA Rosemoor ; but always looked forward to our return to Lyme Bay House.The breakfasts set us up every day, we didn't need much more to eat, the bedroom was comfortable,the other guests were friendly,and the owners were very helpful and made the atmosphere in the hotel very nice.

Centrally located in Dawlish, so close enough to leave the car and visit everything by foot. We had room 7 and it was lovely and quiet, with just the best comfortable bed. The breakfast was lovely, and with a good choice. Nikki was very attentive, and nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely stay when back down in Dawlish again.

Really enjoyed staying at Lyme bay house. Super lovely hosting and fabulous bedroom- definitely worth paying a little extra for the spacious room and enormous bathroom. Breakfast was served with a cheery smile and darkish itself was a treasure for walking. Only downside was that ex wished we'd stayed for two nights rather than just the one!

Yes you are right. Most guests comment on how comfortable the Four Poster bed is. The room is spacious with Sea View. It has a large table for reading, spreading-out or computer working. The bathroom has both bath and shower. There is also a Mini-Bar Fridge. The room is also equipped with a 42\" Flat Screen TV.We are glad you enjoyed it here in Dawlish.It is very different to most places especially larger towns in land. Even in the Autumn and Winter months it is a welcome alternative to the hustle and bustle of city life and there is plenty to do if you like walking, cycling and outdoor life.Alternatively, if you just want to relax you can stay in and read or watch TV.Public transport in the area is extremely good with buses and trains providing good access to plenty of places nearby. we can always offer a few suggestions if you are not sure what you want to do.RegardsNikki & Ian

Dear CatherineYes the Free On-Site Parking is a huge bonus as on street parking in Dawlish is scarce and there are not many Car Park either. You also have to pay for some street parking and of course the Car Parks.Because we are only a few minutes walk from the town centre it is very convenient to leave the car and walk into Dawlish.Also, the public transport is excellent - buses and trains - so getting around the area without taking the car is very easy. Dear LindaYou are absolutely right, Lyme Bay House, Dawlish is an ideal place to explore Exeter, South Devon, the English Riviera and Dartmoor.Being so close to the railway station – only a few hundred yards – you can start by experiencing the wonderful coastal railway line built by Brunel and featured on the BCC TV program Coast.There are fantastic sea and river views to Exeter one way and Newton Abbot the other.It is also very worthwhile getting the train to Paignton and then the steam from there to Kinswear and Dartmouth.We hope to see you again sometimeRegardsNikki & Ian

Stayed just one night. Very comfortable & large room with a view of the sea. Well equipped & furnished. The only problem was the shower was useless. Delicious breakfast.

We had a great weekend stay with Nikki and Ian, who were always helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and well equipped with all the necessities. Breakfast was delicious, we were both suitably impressed! On the Sunday we were having a walk around town before we caught our train, so Ian kindly suggested we keep our bags in the reception and picked them up later. A little thoughtfulness goes a long way! We would definitely recommend.

Lyme bay house is a short walk up the hill from the railway station.The room was spacious with a sea view and a Lovley large bathroom,the room was very clean and bright,small fridge and a table and chairs which we found useful in the evenings.the breakfast was of a very high standard,lots of fresh fruit,yogurts,juices,the full cooked breakfast is hard to resist,and the toast was hot every morning.Nikki was a Lovley host at breakfast everyone is made to feel special.

We had 2 nights here and the owners are very nice, food was top notch and the hotel clean. I did book a double room but ended up with a family room. Think it was because we were the last ones to check-in that day. So ended up with room 12 which was noisy. with it being a hot day we left the window open when we when out to find on our return 4 bugs in the room from the plants outside. so should have a fly net on the window.. So stay there as it is nice but keep out of room 12

This lovely guesthouse is only a short walk from the station and beach. My en suite room was very comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee, hairdryer and toiletries. Nikki and Ian are super hospitable, and I was relieved to see their bar was open when I arrived at 10pm from London! Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and a locally sourced fry up...perfect. I travelled down on the Friday before a Bank Holiday, and as I was approaching the time I said I would arrive, the owners (Nikki and Ian) phoned me to make sure I was ok, which I thought was a really nice touch. When I arrived, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was well presented and neat and tidy.There is a bar area, with a nice selection of drinks, and always friendly conversation.The breakfasts were superb, and very filling. As a man used to staying in hotels most of the week because of business, it was increibly refreshing to receive a personal touch, almost like the theme tune from Cheers, where everybody knows your name.Would I stay here again? Our stay was excellent. A beautiful room and view, great breakfasts and lovely host. Dawlish is a great location to travel from by train (station is an 1/8 of a mile down the hil) and by bus (stops right by the b&b) or take the car along senic coast roads. No complaints at all.

This is a really cosy and friendly B&B with all the facilities you need. There is free parking on site but we rarely used our car as the hotel is situated within 5 minutes' walk of the Town centre, the station and the magnificent coastal path - and there is a bus stop right outside! The room was spotlessly clean, as was the whole establishment. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay with plenty of cold options and delicious locally-sourced produce expertly cooked by Niky and Ian, who were the perfect hosts throughout. We had a lovely break in Devon and will certainly stay here again.

It was a last minuet decision to take a short break and I found the Lyme Bay House on line. I have to say that it lived up to the positive reviews.A very friendly welcome, the room was excellent, we could not have asked for anything better. We had a wonderful experience. Needed B & B somewhere near Newton Abbott, this was the only place I could find with 2 rooms available.Did not warm to Dawlish very much, but this large B & B was just superb. Clean and comfortable rooms, adorable hosts, great fun, and superb breakfast. Highly recommended!

Friendly welcome - comfortable room with sea view - excellent breakfast (all the best ingredients), grilled instead of fried, therefore not running in fatty grease, fresh fruits, cereals and good bread used for toast plus excellent freshly made coffee. There is a bar available but most important is the provision of adequate private parking.Booking was straight-forward (in our case made quite well in advance)and a subsequent 'phone call requesting an extra night was dealt with in an efficient and easy manner. Owners, Ian and Nikky, neither of whom did we know previously, made certain our stay was enjoyable without imposing themselves upon us.

Lyme Bay House is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for 4 days Monday to Friday in room 1. Wonderfully appointed room with en suite facilities. Great breakfasts served by Ian and Nikki- both charming and very welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their advice on eating establishments in the local area was excellent. Very warm welcome from Nikki.Unfortunately we awoke very early and decided not to wait for breakfast as this was not served until 9.00am which was a bit late for us.Room was clean and overlooked the main road and sea.

Very good, breakfasts excellent you don't need to eat for the rest of the day. This is the second time we have stayed there and would recommend it.

I felt very welcome when I came to stay. Nikki was extremely friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is located very conveniently for beautiful walks and only 3 mins walk to the train station. The room was clean and comfy, and the veggie breakfast was delicious and v filling! I would definitely recommend staying here, thanks a lot!

Most comfortable beds,wonderful freshly cooked breakfast with delicious fresh fruit salad,easy parking,dog friendly,but no tell tale trace of other dogs having stayed there.Convenient location- a great find

We were made vey welcome . With a key to the front door we were free to come and go as we pleased. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast excellent.

we had stayed in Lyme Bay House for couple nights for a new years celebration.it was our first time in Dawlish and on southern coast of Devon.if not for Ian and Nikki,owners of this beautiful B&B,our stay could have been not as pleasant.we were met as a family members even it was our first time seeing these lovely people.we were advised on places to go,eat and have a drink.rooms are warm and cosy. especially one with for poster bed :Dthank You very much for lovely experience and looking forvard seeing You again !!Vilana and GWitney

We were made very welcome and enjoyed our stay.Comfortable facilities and a WONDERFUL breakfast!We will be back with other members of our family when we come to visit family in Dawlish.

Had a two night stay, and have to say it was brilliant! Hosts were lovely and very attentive to all of our questions and general needs (places to eat). Clean room with everything needed, very nice breakfasts and again great service. Would use again if we go back to Dawlish in the future and would recommend.

Stayed one night, good location with parking. Ian and nikki very friendly and obliging giving us directions for good restaurants and places to visit. Would got back again.

We have just come back from a most enjoyable weekend at Lyme Bay House in Dawlish.What a delight!our host Nikki was very friendly and made us very welcome. The facilities and the guest room was very clean, tidy and had everything we needed and her breakfasts were fantastic. Tasty and very plentiful, nothing was too much trouble.We will certainly be visiting again for longer this time hopefully.a little gem that's for sure.

The room we booked was not available on arrival, we wanted the four poster bed, however we were allocated another room which was fine and were refunded the difference.Everything was clean and the breakfast was excellent.

We stayed overnight at Lyme Bay House on our way to Cornwall. We were provided with a warm welcome and a good breakfast the next day aswell as helpful local information.

Would recommend Lyme Bay House to anybody. Clean and comfortable with a really good breakfast. Friendly, accommodating hosts. Well positioned just a few minutes walk into Dawlish.

My cousin and I received a very warm welcome from Nicky.She was sensitive to our needs and went out of her way to ensure that our stay would be comfortable and trouble free.Our breakfasts lived up to our expectations. Excellent! Our room was clean and comfortable and we will return to Lyme Bay House in the future.

We have excellent bus and train connections to Dawlish Warren, Cockwood, Starcross, Exeter, Lympstone and Exmouth in one direction and Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Torquat, Paignton, Dartmouth, Totnes and Plymouth in the other.A day trip railway ride to Barnstaple on The Tarka Line is also well worth it - get on at Dawlish, change at Exeter and follow the scenic journey through the Tarka Valley to Barnstaple and explore the historic town center.Thanks again Nikki & Ian

We have been travelling to Dawlish for many, many years and at different times of the year as well. It was our first time staying here and wasn't disappointed. The room we had, with sea view, was very clean and very comfortable. Also room was on a very busy main road and we couldn't hear any traffic at all. The only thing I found missing in the room was a hairdryer, but I managed without,it's just a minor detail, and it didn't spoil our holiday. I'm sure had I asked Nikki she would have loaned me one. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Nikki and Ian were the perfect hosts, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lyme Bay House is very central and the on site parking was just great, no need to take car into Dawlish as it's just a five minute walk away. Buses stop right outside and Dawlish station is 5/10 minute walk, obviously, depending on how slow/fast you walk. Would have no hesitation in recommending Lyme Bay House and will certainly be returning on our next visit to Dawlish. Thank you Nikki and Ian, happy golfing.
